Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected by safeguards comparable to those in the Privacy Act 2020. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as soon as practicable, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law. For example, we generally keep business and tax records for at least 7 years, and production and traceability records for the period required by applicable food or product safety rules. We keep unsuccessful job applications for 12 months. After that, we delete the information.
10. Accuracy
We take reasonable steps to make sure the personal information we hold is accurate, up to date, complete and not misleading. Please tell us if your details change.
